Let’s talk about… Beauty

Panel Discussion

As we all know, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That’s why there is no universal definition of beauty because it is hugely influenced by tastes, trends, epochs and cultures. In keeping with our beauty_redefined motto, we want to approach the subject of beauty at the RINGANA Virtual Convention from a number of different angles. To do so, we’ve invited leading lights from every different part of the beauty world to talk about their views, experiences and concepts of beauty at an exciting panel discussion.

Mario GallaMario Galla

The modelling world is in a state of flux. Trends are moving away from supposed perfection and flawlessness. And the best example of that is Mario Galla. Having conquered international catwalks with a handicap – a prosthetic leg – he has played a pioneering role in changing views about how models should look. At the panel discussion, he will be telling us about his impressive career. Foto: ©️Paul James Hay

Manfred BaumannManfred_Baumann

One of today’s most sought-after and influential photographers will be taking part in the panel discussion at the RINGANA Virtual Convention. It is not only models and stars that he chooses as his subjects, but also prisoners and homeless people. At the panel discussion on 26 September, he will be explaining the role that beauty plays for him and his work.

Prof. Helmut Leder

Prof. Helmut Leder is Head of the Department of Cognition, Emotion, and Methods in Psychology at the University of Vienna and will be exploring beauty from a scientific point of view. He has already been involved for many years with the subject of beauty, how it affects people, and the role that beauty plays in choosing a partner.
